About

Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes Food Distribution

Funded by the CARES Act of 2020, this facility was built to support the Tribes with a location for groceries and training for meal preparations. In the event of a food supply shortage this facility will have a stock of food supplies that can be offered to the tribal members. A training area if available to host a large class on meal preparation. Special attention was focused on addressing COVID-19 prevention, preparedness, and response. The location is prone to tornados, so a tornado shelter is provided to shelter the building occupants. A portion of this facility is setup like a grocery store so that tribal members can come shop for groceries and other items that they may need.
