Prime Architects provided all necessary design and construction period of services to replace existing roofing, window, & security cameras at the Colmery O’Neal VAMC in Topeka, Kansas. New roofing was provided for Buildings 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 20, 22, 25, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 48, 49, 51, 53, 54, 55, 57, 58, 59, 273, and connecting corridor.
Existing windows were replaced and abated on Building 20, 24, and Connecting Corridor. Existing roof cooling towers were removed facility wide and existing units were abandoned and disconnected below roof and patch holes. The Prime team also assisted engineers with installing new security cameras to monitor elevator door areas (4 in Building 1, 3 in Building 2, 2 in Building 3, 2 in Building 4, and 2 in Building 5).
Existing indoor security cameras, existing security camera network, and existing security camera operating system for entire campus were replaced as well. These new cameras will be integrated into the existing camera system. Prime Architects was solely responsible for the management, including all associated labor, equipment, materials, mailing costs, and inspection, to meet the requirements of the design project.
