This project involves a comprehensive renovation of all surfaces and interior finishes along with associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) work throughout the unit at Building 75, Dallas VA Medical Center. This extensive undertaking encompassed the refurbishment of classrooms, restrooms, corridors, offices, support spaces, and reception areas.
The A/E team conducted extensive site visits, field investigations, studies, and user interviews. These insights informed the creation of detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for all aspects of the project.
The A/E Team studied local asbestos survey to identify areas of remediation. As part of initial design development, A/E reviewed proposed site and evaluate feasibility and constructability as well as suggest potential alternatives.
The A/E team will conduct thorough investigations to evaluate the area, including interviews with staff affected by the project. All design work will comply with the A/E Submission Instructions for the Minor and NRM Construction Program, Program Guide PG-18-15, Volume C, as well as all VA supplemental physical security directives.
