Prime Architects provided all labor and support necessary to complete a structural assessment of the food service building at a Federal Correctional Institution in Big Spring, Texas. The Prime team reviewed government provided documentation and met with BOP regional and institutional staff to fully comprehend the existing conditions of the building.
A site study was also conducted to assess the conditions of the facility. Photographs were taken in order to document the team’s findings and to support recommendations for repair.
Based on the information gathered, Prime Architects prepared a detailed report of their findings. This report included recommendations for repair of faulty conditions, as well as photographs and diagrams necessary to illustrating the A/E recommendations and/or options.
The report also included a preliminary cost estimate of recommended construction. This estimate was based on the Design-Big-Build method, as well as prevailing wage labor rates. The estimate was based on a minimum of four competitive bids and a stable bidding market.
Prime Architects also completed all miscellaneous services necessary to complete the assessment, to include postage, delivery services, phone calls, travel in connection to the services described, etc.
