Property and Supply Facility for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes
Funded by the CARES Act of 2020, this facility is a crucial asset for the Tribe, enhancing their preparedness for future pandemics or natural disasters. The exterior design of the building is inspired by the natural landscape, featuring elements that reflect the rolling prairies and beautiful sunsets of the area.
The primary function of this facility is to store and track inventory, ensuring that essential items can be efficiently distributed throughout the community. This includes a wide range of supplies such as furniture, PPE, medical supplies, toilet paper, and clothing. The facility’s climate-controlled storage area is particularly important for maintaining the integrity of temperature-sensitive items.
In addition to its storage capabilities, the facility provides office space for day-to-day staff, complete with a break room and restroom facilities. Energy efficiency is a key consideration, with the use of energy-efficient light fixtures and HVAC systems to reduce overall energy consumption.
