Prime Architects proudly undertook a comprehensive renovation project for the eye clinic at the Amarillo Veterans Affairs Medical Center. This project enhanced the clinic’s functionality, aesthetics, and overall patient experience.
The renovation encompassed a deck-to-deck overhaul, ensuring that every aspect of the clinic met the highest standards. The architectural and engineering (A/E) team conducted thorough evaluations, including staff interviews, to align the design with VA standards and security directives. This meticulous approach ensured that the renovation not only met but exceeded expectations.
During the initial design phase, the A/E team reviewed the proposed site to evaluate feasibility and constructability, suggesting potential alternatives as needed. The construction phase included new layouts for both the Clinic and Primary Care areas, necessary demolition and removal, and the installation of new drywall partitions. Upgrades were made to mechanical, plumbing, lighting, fire protection, and electrical systems. Additionally, Prime Architects applied new interior finishes to ceilings, walls, and flooring, along with new casework and the installation of government-furnished equipment.
The project involved the removal of abandoned electrical and data lines, as well as possible hydronic and domestic water lines. Enhancements included new mechanical, plumbing, lighting, fire protection, and electrical systems. New interior finishes were applied to ceilings, walls, and flooring, creating a modern and welcoming environment. The new layouts for the Clinic and Primary Care areas improved workflow and patient care.
Prime Architects delivers superior outcomes, on-time and on-budget, ensuring that the eye clinic renovation at the Amarillo Veterans Affairs Medical Center can continue to provide exceptional care to its patients.
