WORK LOCATION: This is a remote position; however, candidates must be based in or around Fort Worth, or San Antonio Texas areas. Some travel is required for client visits.

JOB SUMMARY
As a critical member of our team, the Project Architect is responsible for overseeing the design and execution of construction documents for our clients. Key responsibilities include working closely with the Project Manager to supervise the Design Team’s design and technical delivery of the construction documents. This role involves meeting with clients and stakeholders to discuss initial construction designs, preparing budgets, creating the final design, and overseeing the entire design process from start to finish.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with clients to determine design requirements and preferences.
- Research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects, applying expertise in architectural design, construction detailing, procedures, zoning, building codes, and building materials and systems.
- Produce conceptual plans, renderings, and documentation for client review.
- Plan and program project layouts, coordinating and integrating engineering elements into a cohesive design for client approval.
- Generate comprehensive construction documents for various project phases, including Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, and Detailed Design, while overseeing the activities of team members involved in this process.
- Interface with the Director of Architecture and project managers, working with multi-disciplinary design teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Assist in researching and coordinating materials and products for project specifications, ensuring the best choices for design and functionality.
- Lead and mentor up to three architect interns, providing guidance and support in their professional development while overseeing their contributions to projects to ensure alignment with company standards and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture
- Certification as a licensed professional
- Eight (8) + years of architectural experience, preferably within the hiring firm’s field
- Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems, and site requirements
- Highly Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to provide elegant and efficient design solutions
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to work under indirect supervision
- Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style, including teamwork and team-building ability
- Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills
- Technically creative and open-minded
- Excellent coordination abilities with internal and external stakeholders to manage schedules effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of construction detailing, with the ability to prepare complete sets of construction documents.
- Exceptional communication and reporting skills, ensuring precise and effective coordination and interactions with all project participants.
- Knowledge of construction costs and timelines to facilitate accurate project planning.
- Lead and mentor up to three architect interns, providing guidance and support in their professional development and project work while overseeing their contributions to projects to ensure alignment with company standards and objectives.
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare architectural design, enhancing our capability to deliver specialized projects.
- LEED or Green Globes Certification
