COMPANY NAME: Lavastida Development Group dba Prime Architects POSITION TITLE: Project Architect (Architect Level 1) REPORTS TO: Director of Design POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt Summary: Oversee the design and execution of the construction documents for our clients. Work closely with the Project Manager to execute project plans. Coordinates with Project Manager to supervise the Design Team’s design and technical delivery of the construction documents. Relied upon to meet with clients and stakeholders to discuss the initial construction design, prepare budgets, create the final design, and oversee the entire design process from start to finish. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working with clients to determine requirements for design
• Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
• Produces conceptual plans, renderings, and documents.
• Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
• Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans.
• Produces construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Working with the Project Manager, may direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project.
• Interfaces with Director of Architecture and project managers.
• Works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams.
• Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture
• 3-5+ years of architectural experience preferably within the hiring firm’s field
• Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems and site requirements
• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office suite is required
• Ability to provide elegant and efficient design solutions
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work under indirect supervision
• Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability
• Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills

COMPANY NAME: Lavastida Development Group dba Prime Architects POSITION TITLE: Project Manager REPORTS TO: Director of Design POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt Summary A Project Manager manages multiple small/medium projects, coordinates all aspects of assigned projects, and estimates scope of work. Has full responsibility for managing all aspects of multiple small to midsize projects. Prepares strategic plans for project success. Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost—effective execution of assigned projects. Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction. Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments. Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts. Duties and responsibilities

• Review Estimate vs Actuals independently and provide comments or corrections.
• Provide to Accounting a complete fee breakdown for all consultants for each phase.
• Establish and update the Gantt style schedule in Procore, Build or similar.
• Indicate when all required site visits will happen.
• Track changes to contracts and contracts amounts and notify client of any delays as they happen and maintain accurate records of schedule changes.
• Setting up Procore, Build or similar.
• Generate monthly (20th of each month) billing invoices for their projects that adheres to the company standard template.
• Specifications or as delegated to said employee or agent.
• Weekly Project Client meeting/minutes
• Weekly Project A/E Design Team meeting/minutes
• Coordinating with clients to determine design requirements, including reviewing sketches and models with the client.
• Communicating with contractors about construction progress and potential problems that may arise during the building process.

Qualifications

• 5-year Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (BArch), preferred.
• 8 or more years of professional experience
• Licensed Architect. Strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit
• Understanding architectural / construction means and methods; and the ability to fully detail these systems in coordination with structural, mechanical, and civil trades.
• Proficient understanding of Construction Drawing/Detailing of various commercial and institutional building systems of significant size. Healthcare architectural design experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to solve complex architectural design and construction problems to serve the Client’s program and advise the Senior Management team of any issues that deviate from the project program goals and/or that impact the project budget and timeline.
