Overview
Prime Architects digitized the as-built drawing archive of the BOP South Central Regional Office. About 80 flat file drawers of prints were scanned on site. The documents were sensitive and had to be handled under FBOP guidelines.
Technical Scope
- Records/Imaging: Scanned pre-design, design development and construction document drawings, with scanning equipment supplied by Prime at the FBOP location.
- Indexing: Built a hyperlinked Excel master reference document for the scanned set.
- Document control: Dissemination, storage, handling and destruction followed FBOP guidelines. Record copies kept for legal purposes were safeguarded against unauthorized use for the project term.
- Transfer: Scanned originals were packed in tubes and mailed to the National Archives.
