Refurbish Bone Marrow Transplant Unit

Prime Architects designed and provided construction drawings and specifications to refurbish the existing Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. The project was renovation work in a specialized setting, which required attention to detail and the controlling of the spaces due to patients actively occupying surrounding units on the floor during construction.

Mechanical work included the removal and replacement of a 60 ton AHU as well as mechanical finishes. The new HVAC unit required the use of a crane for installation on the 7th floor roof top. This unit serves multiple critical patient units, including the Sleep Lab and the Chemotherapy Clinic. Project also included the complete renovation of all interior finishes.
